If anyone has any other ideas? It would be greatly appreciated.I recently built a new PC with a 5900x (B550 MB - Gigabyte Aorus Pro) and I started noticing very soon many issues popping up with the USB ports. Also, I do not have Citrix receiver installed. I believe these are the USB ports on my laptop itself.įor troubleshooting purposes, I have tried unplugging the dock, uninstalling the Thunderbolt Controller driver, ASMedia USB driver, and Realtek ethernet all-in-one driver, rebooted, installed all three again, plugged in my dock, and still get the same results. It appears that the dock's USB ports are not detected because, in Device Manager, the ASMedia drivers are not listed, and only Intel(R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller - 1.0 (Microsoft) is visible, along with 2 USB Composite Devices, and USB Root Hub (3.0). However, I have the latest ASMedia USB drivers, Thunderbolt Controller driver, and BIOS version installed. When I run the TB16 firmware update, I get an error, "Error: Reading ASMedia USB 3.0 Host Controller Firmware failed". However, the ports work when the dock is connected to the laptop with a display port USB-C cable. ![]() My issue is that the USB ports and Ethernet port on the TB16 dock does not work when the dock is connected to the laptop via a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C cable. I have a Latitude 7490 with Thunderbolt 3 option and a TB16 dock.
